Based on humble beginnings in Pietermaritzburg KwaZulu Natal and founded by Mr Haroon Essa, Frimax has grown from strength to strength and is now considered one of the fastest growing snack company’s in South Africa.

Initially wholesalers of fruit and vegetables; supplying the government, hotels and various other wholesalers, Mr Essa identified a gap in the Snack Food market and hasn’t looked back since.

Joined in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s by his sons, the Essa family now operate a state of the art manufacturing and distribution business in Verulam, with other warehousing and distribution sites around the country and now up into Africa.
